Regarding expected lifespan and warranty, Mike said many of his customers are taxi drivers who put on many times the usage that a normal driver does. In fact, a taxi driver showed up while I was there saying his friends has said to go there and they were able to take care of him on the spot. It took only one hour to have the job done. I also had the options to have mobile service. I understand he covers a large area regionally with mobile service, can also ship batteries and has associates in other states who can do installs.Other options were the following. Toyota gave me a price of $4600. I found a service operation in Chicagoland area that would rebuild my battery for about $2600 but it took several days although they did provide a loaner car. Batteries are available from auto supply store for $2000-2200 plus tax but finding someone who was experienced and certified was difficult and added about $900 for labor. No one had better than a 3 year warranty and some were only 1 year.
